Dr Graham Furness is the Founder and Medical Director of Insight Eye Clinic and is one of Perth’s most experienced laser, refractive and cataract surgeons. Performing surgery since 1996, he has built a reputation for delivering excellent surgical outcomes while prioritising patient education and personalised care.
Dr Furness specialises in cataract and refractive surgery – procedures designed to reduce or eliminate dependence on glasses or contact lenses. His passion for ophthalmology is deeply personal. Graham’s brother has a rare genetic disorder that left him blind as a teenager, and his grandfather also lost his sight due to glaucoma. These experiences have shaped his commitment to helping patients achieve the best possible quality of vision.
Working alongside Dr Furness is an accomplished ophthalmologist, Dr Laura Schummer, who has a particular interest in refractive and cataract surgery and brings extensive experience and a strong professional reputation to the Insight team. Dr Schummer shares the same focus on thoughtful, patient-centred care and precision surgical outcomes.
